Dearest Friends and Family,
Happy New Year! In the midst of mass shootings, California wildfires, and the general decay of a once great country, some good things found their way into our personal lives:
Ever passed his driving test. He got a job so we wouldn’t kill him. He decided we weren’t as embarrassing as he used to think so he finally started bringing his lovely girlfriend around us.
Levi started high school and plays on the golf team. He has more friends than me. He wore a pink tracksuit to homecoming.
We purchased an investment property downtown. Either a really smart idea or a really dumb idea — the jury is out.
We went to Amsterdam, and didn’t want to come home. We had a fabulous time at a creepy amusement park with dear friends.
We fostered a grumpy old dog named Gherkin who is happily living out his senior years with Clay’s parents.
Clay and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary, reuniting our closest friends and family at the roller rink where we first began our journey. We also got a new mattress, so now I don’t wake up every time Grandma (Clay) gets up to pee. Our marriage should last at least as long as the mattress.
We spent precious time with family and friends. We are thankful for all of you, and we appreciate every day.
Here’s to health, happiness, and hope in 2019.
Love, Cindy & Clay, Ever, Levi
